Essential Qualification and Experience: Graduate in Mass Communication/Public Relations/Journalism/ Media Studies/ Communications from recognized Institute / university with 07 years of experience Or Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in Mass Communication/Public Relations/Journalism/ Media Studies/ Communications from recognized Institute / university with 05 years of experience in handling print and electronicmedia/stakeholder preferably in a Govt. Department / Undertaking /PSUs /Boards / Reputed Media Units. Desirable Experience: • Candidate should have worked experience of at least 05 years in the field of social journalism in Print or Electronic media, or any other organization imparting awareness in citizen on social issues. • Experience in Government/ Private sector • Hand on experience in using various social media communications • Experience of working with Government institutions especially in Urban Development Department will be given preference. • Proficient with MS office application. • Have knowledge and capabilities in partnership management. • Have strong analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking skills, ability to handle large scale planning. • Possess good and consistent academic records. Key Responsibility Areas: • To inform educate and communicate citizen about the objective of UDD. • To support preparation and execution of IEC Strategy • To create marketing and social media campaign, content ideation, Implementation schedule, planning and monitoring of campaigns. • To perform any other functions assigned to him/her under UDD. • To act under the direct supervision of PS- UDD and SMD. • Producing the showcasing of good practices through short documentary films on water and sanitation and facilitating formal press conferences and will be required to develop rapport with senior members of the press to ensure that the media becomes an active partner in the whole effort of making cities and towns of the state clean, sanitised and open defecation free. • Augmenting the Department website with a regulatory updated special section on urban sanitation: highlighting the State Governments plans, conservation and maintenance issues: user charges etc. and inviting responses/reactions/suggestions from the visitors.
