ECG technician is a person who makes use of electrocardiogram devices to run the diagnostic test to measure a person’s heart rate, and also to monitor the cardiac rhythm.
Educational Qualification:- CERTIFICATE IN ECG TECHNICIAN
Work Responsibilities
1) Produce recordings of electromotive variations in patients heart muscle, using electrocardiograph Ecg , to provide data for diagnosis of heart ailments
2) Attach electrodes to chest, arms and legs of patient
3) Connect electrode leads to electrocardiograph starts machine
4) Move electrodes along specified area of chest to produce electrocardiogram that records electromotive variations occurring in different areas of heart muscle
5) Monitor electrocardiogram for abnormal patterns
6) Keys information into machine or marks tracing to indicate positions of chest electrodes
7) Replenish supply of paper and ink in machine reports malfunctions
8) Edit and forwards final test results to attending physician for analysis interpretation
9) May attach electrodes of Holter monitor electrocardiograph to patient to record data over extended period of time.
