Graduate with BEd (Special Education) OR BEd (General) with one year Diploma in Special Education OR BEd (General) with two-year Diploma in Special Education OR BEd (General) with Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education (PGPC) OR BEd Special Education and Post Graduate Professional Certificate in Special Education (PGPC) OR PG Diploma in Special Education (Mental Retardation) OR PG Diploma in Special Education (Multiple Disability Physical Neurological) OR PG Diploma in Special Education (Locomotor Impairment and Cerebral Palsy) OR Secondary level Teacher Training Course in Visual Impairment. OR Senior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf. OR BA BEd in Visual Impairment OR Any other equivalent qualification approved by RCI NOTE 1 Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs’ run by CBR Network in affiliation with Bangalore University will be considered only up to five years from the date of issue of this order for consideration of qualification for Special Education Teacher. 2 Teachers with qualification/s in single disability area will be encouraged to undergo cross disability courses for taking care of wide range of diversities in a general school.
